Since school is out and summer has begun, we’re taking a walk down memory lane as we look back at one of our most memorable contracts – the design-build for the Gala River Community head start program. RGE was the prime contractor for design and construction of a new classroom building facility, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The scope of work included landscaping of 8 acres, paving of parking lots and driveways, parking canopies, resilient sports flooring, HVAC, site utilities, glass and glazing, playground equipment, shade awnings, etc. This was a ground-up construction build. We also had an extensive team onsite for quality control and safety management to ensure accuracy and safety throughout completion of the large structure.
